VIDEO: Watch the Education Calculator in Action

In conjunction with today’s release of the Commission’s new chartbook, Reaching America’s Health Potential Among Adults: A State-by-State Look at Adult Health, the Commission developed the Education and Health calculator to show the impact of education has on the well-being of communities across the country.  In every state and in most counties, users can see how residents' health would differ if education levels there were higher - or lower.


Today, Steven Woolf, the calculator’s lead researcher leads us through a video example of how life would be different in Detroit if it had the education levels of its nearby suburbs.  The data are staggering.  Watch the video below, then try out the calculator for your community here.
