Tell the Commission About Promising Programs and Policy Solutions

The Commission to Build a Healthier America is exploring promising innovations and interventions that can provide opportunities for all Americans to live healthier lives. The Commission can use your help. This page allows you to share your ideas with the Commission as it works to identify viable short- and long-term strategies that:

  • Focus on important public health problems that have significant human and/or economic impacts
  • Engage sectors beyond the medical care system to improve the health of all Americans.
  • Have the potential to make significant and measurable improvements to the health of our families, communities, and our nation.

The Commission is also interested in learning about specific policies and programs of great promise. Programs and policies of this nature may:

  • Demonstrate results in addressing important public health problems.
  • Build on research and evidence and/or the work of other successful programs and policies.
  • Present opportunities for widespread implementation.
  • Address the needs of groups who experience particularly large obstacles to being healthy, such as people with low income or members of racial or ethnic minority groups.
  • Garner support (in financial resources or advocacy) from a variety of sources: businesses, community groups, faith-based organizations, local, state, and national governments.
